Lutsenko recounts kidnapping, beating by ‘death squad’ with political agenda

 Igor Lutsenko, an activist leading the anti-government EuroMaidan protests, is recovering from injuries inflicted when a group of men abducted and beat him. A fellow activist kidnapped with him, Yuriy Verbytsky, died from his injuries, his body found in a forest near Boryspil on Jan. 23.

Speaking from his hospital bed, prominent activist Igor Lutsenko, bruised and missing teeth but alive, tells a harrowing tale.
